DMCA Policy

Share This Space respects the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and promptly address valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. This policy ensures that all content published on Share This Space, from articles on modern villa design to classic interior trends, respects original creative works.

We ask our users and contributors to also respect intellectual property. We will remove content from our site when we receive a valid DMCA complaint. This page outlines the process for submitting a notice of infringement and how to file a counter-notification.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Share This Space infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated agent. We require all information outlined below to process your complaint effectively. Failure to provide complete information may delay or prevent the removal of the alleged infringing material.

Elements of a Valid DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a valid notice of infringement, your written communication must include substantially the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled. Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit Share This Space to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit Share This Space to contact the complaining party. This includes an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Be aware that misrepresentations in a DMCA notice may lead to liability for damages. We encourage you to consult with legal counsel before submitting a notice.

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed due to a copyright infringement notice, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. This allows you to dispute the claim. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party.

Elements of a Valid Counter-Notification

To submit a valid counter-notification, your communication must include substantially the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled. Identify the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United Arab Emirates, for any judicial district in which Share This Space may be found. Also include a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Once we receive a valid counter-notification, we will typically wait 10-14 business days. If the complaining party does not inform us that they have filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore the removed material. We will only restore material that was removed due to a DMCA takedown notice.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Share This Space maintains a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of copyright. This applies to any user accounts that consistently post or share infringing material. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate this DMCA Policy.

We review all DMCA notices and counter-notifications carefully. We will take appropriate action as determined by the number of valid infringement claims against a user. This helps maintain a respectful environment for original content creators in the publications industry.

Policy Updates

Share This Space may update this DMCA Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our procedures for copyright compliance.
